Peoples climate action
Copenhagen Climate Exchange 2009
Copenhagen Climate Exchange 2009 is a climate fair for the people during the days leading up to the official UN Climate Summit, COP15.
The exchange is hosted by The Danish Society for Nature Conservation and with its estimated 25.000 visitors it is expected to be one of the biggest climate events in Copenhagen during December.
The idea behind the conference is that everybody can do something themselves. Regardless of what kind of deal (or no deal) at COP15, The Copenhagen Climate Exchange will demonstrate that addressing global warming is much more than complex political agreements. It is everyone's responsibility to act.
During the Exchange cities, organisations and innovative enterprises from across the world meet to share their local knowledge and ideas to the global climate problems. The Copenhagen Climate Exchange will also host a wide range of exhibitions, activities and workshops - filled solutions that makes people see the possibilities.
The exchange takes place in Øksnehallen, a historic and listed building in the centre of Copenhagen. The venue is close to the main train station and hence with easy access to Copenhagen International Airport.
