Global day of action on December 12th

Planet First People First: A peaceful and popular demonstration from Christiansborg Castle Square on December 12.
Over 2,600 candlelight vigils, marches and "signature walls" will take place in more than 130 countries to jointly demand world leaders seal a fair, ambitious and legally binding climate deal in Copenhagen.

1:00-2:00pm
Rally with speakers at Christiansborg Slotsplads (Parliament Square). 17 giant ship sails of climate messages and images from participants of the demonstration will be displayed. Come add your message and then help to deliver it!
Speakers include: MC Audrey Castañeda, Angélique Kidjo, Helena Christensen, Thure Lindhardt, Rahul Bose, Vandana Shiva, Helle Thorning-Schmidt, Kumi Naidoo, climate witnesses from around the world, Mr. Green

2:00-4:30pm
March from Christiansborg Slotsplads to Bella Center. Danish trade union workers will organize and guide the march.

4:30-6:30 pm
Come and join the biggest climate dance-off ever with DJs 100 % Isis and Mike Sheridan as the thousands of marchers arrive outside the Bella Center, leading into a candlelight vigil - a human sea of light bringing a message of hope and solidarity. Bring your candle! There will also be speakers and a handover of the ship sails to UNFCCC Executive Secretary Yvo de Boer inside the Bella Center. A screen will show images of climate change effects and climate change actions from across the world.
