Home party to reduce CO2-emissions
Invite your neighbour to a home party where you talk about how to reduce your common energy consumption.
The network "Our Home - Our Climate" from the organization Climate Movement (Klimabevægelsen) brings together housing associations with the objective to take the lead in the fight against global warming by providing energy checklists and action plans. Here is what the organisation promotes:
- A "Home party" with informal discussions between neighbours on climate, CO2- emissions and energy consumption, facilitated by an expert.
- Help to disseminate the association's action plan for the residents.
- Best practice sharing with other housing associations.
- Events and happenings where the housing associations get awarded with diplomas for the different degrees of climate friendliness they manage to achieve.
So far, four housing associations have committed to participate in the project and the first energy check is already booked. The Climate Movement is planning to market the network "Our Home - Our climate" on Facebook and have been allocated exhibition space in the DGI-city during the climate conference in December.
