Peoples climate action
A green Nørrebro
Children are given a common voice in the climate debate and Frederiksberg becomes the focal point of schoolchildren's creative forces, when concerns about climate are visualized on globes at the summit.
200 globes decorated with slogans and landscapes will be the visible outcome of the project "Walk the Talk". They will be exhibited in Frederiksberg during the climate conference COP15 in December.
The many horror scenarios of climate change affect the children, and therefore they should also have a voice in the climate debate. With the ever increasing flow of educational materials and project work on climate and climate change comes also a need for creative input from children.
30 schools across the country have already agreed to participate in project Walk the Talk created by the climate secretary of NGO's, People's Climate Action. This will give hundreds of schoolchildren between 10-13 years a place to tell stories and describe their concerns - and not least their hopes - about the future of the planet.
It is among other schools from Frederiksberg, Rørvig, Vejle and Langå, who have signed up. The schools receive project kits with globes of 40 cm in diameter made of hard masonite, acrylic paints, brushes, as well as information and a guide - all sent out to the schools in November.
The finished globes will be exhibited from December 7th in Frederiksberg.
