The People's Climate Action was founded by a large number of NGO's and individual players. People's Climate Action works to ensure that COP15 is a successful political, cultural and social event and will involve and engage citizens before and during the climate summit in Copenhagen and hopefully assist in providing solutions to critical climate- change issues.
The People's Climate Action consists of a Board, a recommendation committee, and a Secretariat funded by the Danish Foreign Ministry. The Board has the political leadership of People's Climate Action. It has also defined the visions and goals of the organisation and is responsible for the implementation thereof.
Represented by the Head of Secretariat, People's Climate Action will take part in negotiations with ministries and other government agencies. The Head of Office will also oversee the application process for project funding granted by the Foreign Ministry, and report to the General Assembly of the People's Climate Action.
The Board consists of up to two representatives from the following five electoral groups:
